Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

Promethic Labs("we", "us", or "our") operates the Realestate Lens website. The public product is currently pre-launch. This policy describes the website, its free public calculators and its early-access waitlist. The website does not currently provide accounts, subscriptions or property-contract uploads.

The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) explains that Privacy Act coverage depends on the organisation and its circumstances, and that some small businesses are exempt while others are covered. This policy does not make a representation about our statutory classification. It records our current practices and our commitment to handle personal information transparently and with restraint. 2. Information we collect now

Early-access waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, an optional state or territory, the page or button that opened the form, and the submission time. We use these details to record your interest and send relevant product or access updates. Joining the waitlist does not create an account or take a payment.

Our waitlist endpoint does not deliberately add your IP address or browser user-agent string to the signup email. As with any website, hosting and network systems may still process ordinary request metadata, such as an IP address, to deliver and secure the site. The OAIC notes that an IP address can be personal information when it identifies or can reasonably identify someone. See the OAIC's explanation of personal information.

Website analytics

A deployment may use PostHog analytics when a project key is configured. In that case, PostHog can receive page views, deliberately recorded interactions, error diagnostics and the technical context ordinarily associated with those events. We do not deliberately include the waitlist email address in analytics event properties. Automatic click tracking and heatmaps are disabled in the current website code. If session recording is enabled in the analytics project, form inputs are configured to be masked.

Browser storage and calculators

The site stores two small flags in your browser's local storage: one records that the early-access prompt has been shown, and one records a successful signup so the prompt is not repeatedly displayed. These flags are not an account and do not contain your contract or calculator inputs. You can clear them through your browser settings.

Some calculators can place entered values in the page URL so a scenario can be revisited or shared. Those values may therefore appear in browser history and ordinary website request logs. Do not enter names, account numbers or other identifiers in calculator fields. The current analytics code removes non-approved query parameters before sending captured URLs to PostHog.

3. How we use and disclose information

We use current website information to:

• administer the early-access list and send related updates;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the public website;
• understand aggregate use of pages, tools and calls to action; and
• respond when you contact us.

Resend is used to deliver each waitlist submission to our support mailbox. PostHog is used only when analytics is configured. Our hosting, network and email providers may process the information required to provide their services. Their own terms, settings and privacy practices apply. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or a valid legal process.

We do not currently publish a guarantee that these services process data only in Australia. Provider location and routing can depend on configuration and infrastructure.

4. Retention and security

We have not set a universal fixed retention period. Waitlist submissions may remain in the delivery provider and our support mailbox while needed to administer early access, communicate with you, maintain necessary records or meet legal requirements. Analytics retention depends on the configured analytics project. Browser-storage flags remain on your device until you or your browser removes them.

We take reasonable measures appropriate to the current website, but no website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We do not currently accept property contracts, so this policy makes no production claim about contract encryption, AI processing, storage location or deletion timing.

5. Your choices and requests

You may ask us to identify, correct or remove personal information we control, including a waitlist entry. We may need enough information to verify the request and may retain information where required by law or where an applicable exception permits it. These administrative choices do not limit any statutory rights that apply to you. The OAIC publishes guidance on access to personal information and correction requests.

6. Future app features

Product pages describe intended or proposed features. Before any public app accepts contracts, creates accounts or takes payments, we will update this policy to describe the actual production data flow, providers, processing locations, retention choices and user controls. No reference to a planned feature should be read as a current data-handling practice.

7. Changes and contact
